The essence of the man behind the rock n roll genius. What can you say about this visionary, the Da Vinci of Rock N’ Roll and sole creator of countless decades of music and styles that continue to be emulated through designers and musicians today, a legacy created by one incredible man through his artistic exploration of his own life, sharing with us, through his music, impactful and everlasting. We can look at images, music compositions and easily attribute them to one of the many elemental aspects of one or more of Bowie’s many personas created through his music, images or performances. A complete artist, that was truly one of a kind. Not another comparable artist alive today, that has accomplished on so many levels what Bowie achieved in his lifetime. I often wonder will there be another musical innovator, style influencer of that magnitude, in my lifetime? This was a painting I had to paint to showcase the (hu)man behind the star.
